The 2nd of April marked a most enjoyable day for WAGBA members as they were joined by their families for a lovely brunch at the beautiful premises of Reick & Marina Winckel at the Warnbro Foreshore, South of Perth. The event – snugly attended by some 40 parents and their children, ranging from infants to teenagers – provided the families the perfect opportunity to bond and enjoy themselves in a casual, family-friendly setting.

The WAGBA-HSBC Economic Outlook Breakfast 2023 was held at the Hyatt Regency in East Perth on the 3rdMarch. The greatly informative event was well attended by some 50 business representatives as WAGBA had the privilege to welcome Paul Bloxham, HSBC’s Chief Economist for Australia, New Zealand and HSBC’s Head of Global Commodities as the key note speaker.

On the 27th of February around 22 business-, state government-, university- and industry body representatives were invited to the Senate Room of the University of Western Australia to attend the Perth USAsia Centre “Private Roundtable” Discussion with the German Ambassador to Australia, Dr. Markus Ederer during his inaugural visit. WAGBA, represented by its President, Stephan W Kirsch, was graciously invited to contribute to the event.

On 31 March the Australian Ambassador to the EU, Belgium, Luxembourg and NATO, HE Ms Caroline Millar, was visiting Western Australia as part of her mid-term posting consultations.
