The Parliamentary Friends of Germany group reconvened at the courtyard of Parliament House on the 15th October 2024. Attended by some 80 members and friends of WAGBA, the venue was abuzz with excitement as the attendees enjoyed a networking session with the members of the parliament in a casual setting, while being served with refreshments and delectable finger foods.

Young Linguists Shine at DAS Exam Awards

The journey never stops for the young German learners in WA as they convene for another year of “DAS Exam” (Deutsch- Australische Sprachprüfung) Awards Presentation. The Exam has been offered to students for around 60 years and is part of the WAGBA cultural support program. As such the “DAS Exam” is supported by the Association financially and by means of contribution to the annual award ceremonies.

Game Plan: WAGBA and BVB Dortmund's Path to Football Excellence in WA

WAGBA President Stephan W Kirsch was graciously invited to the Western Australia Ministry of Sports with BVB Dortmund, along with the political advisors to the Minister for Tourism and the Minister for Sports, for a roundtable meeting. During the meeting, there was a focused discussion on strategies to enhance BVB Dortmund's global footprint and brand recognition in Western Australia. The attendees deliberated on establishing robust partnerships with local football associations, government bodies, communities, and institutions to foster an inclusive football program spanning from grassroots to elite levels.
