WAGBA's Final Soiree at the Hyatt Regency
It was an evening brimming with joy and vibrant networking as many WAGBA members and friends gathered at the elegant Private Dining Suite of Gershwin’s at The Hyatt Regency for WAGBA’s End of Financial Year Dinner. The dinner presented an amazing networking opportunity within a relaxed setting to all attending guests with ties to the association, as they indulged themselves with wines and beverages in the stunning circular Gershwin’s Wine Room before the commencement of the dinner. The event was also graced by attending guests of honour Bill Hassell AM (former President of WAGBA, former WA Minister and former Leader of Opposition), the Hon. Dr. Mike Nahan (former WA Treasurer and former Leader of Opposition), and Dr. Gabriele Maluga (Honorary Consul of Germany).

Brats, Brews, and Bonds in Perth
WA in May is often graced with warm sunny days and cooler nights, perfect for Australians to, as they say, “fire up the barbie”. For WAGBA specifically, it is time to pop that Bratwurst on the grill! WAGBA’s annual fundraising event, Maytoberfest, was held on the 25th of May at the contemporary Sentinel Bar & Grill, located at St. George’s Terrace in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The event was held with much success, amassing some 135 WAGBA members and friends in attendance to support the event – including special guest Mr. Wilfred Wimmler, Austrian Honorary Consulate, and Mrs. Renate Wimmler – warmly welcomed by WAGBA President Stephan W Kirsch in his opening speech.

The 'Hottest' Gathering of the Year
The scorching February heat was no match for the passion that our guests brought along to WAGBA’s New Year’s Reception, held on the 1st of February at Matilda Bay Restaurant and Bar in Perth. This inaugural reception of the Association provided an outstanding opportunity for some 100 attendees to mingle, to network and to kickstart the hopefully successful year 2024. The general consensus of the evening was that it was most definitely the “hottest” gathering of the year.

WAGBA is delighted to share in the joy of our our premium member, Singapore Airlines, in celebrating the official opening of the new SilverKris Lounge at Perth International Airport. This marks a significant milestone in the airline’s 57 years of service to Perth.

Another Informative Breakfast with HSBC
There’s no better way to start off a morning than to enjoy an informative session paired with a hearty breakfast at the HSBC – WAGBA Economic Outlook Breakfast, held on the 27th of February at Hyatt Regency in Perth. The event was attended by more than 50 guests, with both new and familiar faces such as: the Hon Sabine Winton MLA, Western Australia Government Minister, the Hon Tjorn Sibma MLC, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party in the Legislative Council as well as Torsten Ketelsen OAM, former Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany.
